Checkin in from GA. Headed to camp right after I type this to try to get one with a bow, but I'll be down at camp for all of the rut (hopefully around 9-10 days even), only 2 months to go til its that magic time. Our rifle season starts in 3 weeks (Oct. 22) and I'll be waitin on em with my 7mm08 ;)

Hi guys......been busy bow hunting, but I have seen quit a few deer. Either too small or not in range. Guns open Nov. 12, so hopefully I will see some good ones before then. Good hunting and good luck to everyone.

update:got a doe with my bow my first time out this year, not much has happened since. but in the last 2 weeks, we've got some killer trail cam pics. one 120ish 8pt and one 130ish 8pt last week, another 120ish and 130ish 8pt this week, along with 2 140ish 10pts and a bigger 10 that might would go around 150. all in all, we're quite happy, we've been getting alot of bucks on trail cam this year, and have several good ones running around that we've got pics of, and some more that we let walk last year that none of us have seen yet. should be a great season

ps im taking 5 days during the rut to hunt, hopefully i can tag one of these big boys

Hey fellas....just checking in. Stayed at the farm for 9 days bow hunting. Shot a doe, she's in the freezer. I've seen quit a few young bucks chasing does this last week.....no big boys yet. They will come. Had a real nice shooter buck within 12 yards and needed him to take just one more darn step to his right! He had been chasing a doe and she had gone on about 60 yards. All of a sudden, he dropped his nose to the ground and bolted after her......that was that. Love this bow hunting!!
Guns open on the 12th and the boys should be running around real good by then.

Ok fellas, I just posted that we need 5. Justhuntitall checked in on team #9. Also listed on our team....
Right now we are 1/2 a team......so we better get some big deer in case we don't get any more hunters.[:@]

like I said once before, Im hunting in tornado country, Indiana. about 15 miles from where the tornado hit sunday night. im using an H&R ultra slug hunter 20 gauge with a Traditions 4x scope and winchester sabots. good luck team.

Hey guys. I am checking in as another one of the alternates that has been assigned to your team. I will be doing most of my hunting in PA and then some in WV. I have been seeing a fair amount of buck at both places so we will see how it goes. Good luck to the rest of you guys this season.

good job way to get us started cant wait to see it i had a good first day of exciting hunting saw 2 does and a spike horn well me and my dad went to the local state park and hes never got a deer and this year they added a new law that you cant shoot spike horns. so we walk into the state park sit down and i do some calling with the grunt call 3 mins pass and in comes this spike horn stays out to aobut 25 yards walks away grunts 2 more times and comes running into about 10 yards stayed around for like 10 mins it was funny cause my dad had never got a deer and this year there is a new law and he coulndt shoot it i feel bad for him hope you guys have better luck

U can be team captain in my books... I just hope I can enter my deer. He scores 127 2/8.. not a GIANT, but the biggest of my life so far

I took my friend out hunting yesterday, He shot at a 6 point and missed it clean lol... I swear there were deer within 5 feet of me, and I was on the ground! he said "oh my god!" when he saw em lol... I could have caught tha little one :D

Rifle opens Saturday here. Got some dandies running around. I got pics of 10 different bucks tonite out scouting. 3 of 'em are in the high 140s-150s with one being 160+. I had a 180" deer scouted out, buddy killed him a few days ago with bow tho [:@]

The rut is in full swing, deer running like mad all day long. I think I'll be able to contribute a nice buck to the team. I ain't shooting unless its 150 or bigger:D

I'll be using my Tikka T3 243, 95gr CT Ballistic Tips if I'm walking, with a Leupold VXII 4-12x40. And if I'm stand hunting or its windy I'll be using my Browning A-Bolt Composite Stalker 7mm Rem Mag, 140gr Nosler AccuBonds, with a Leupold VXII 3-9x40.

I'm in Spink County, South Dakota.
