Bad news for Monday. Its opening day for gun season and supposed to be in the 70's!!!!! And theres snow on the ground right now!!! Its crazy.

Alright, I figured it out, so here's the story.

I was hunting w/ my dad and we were sitting up on a hill glassing when we spotted this buck w/ a smaller 2pt (4pt for most of you) coming out of a stock damn about 3/4 miles away and they were heading the other direction. We went back to the pickup and tried to get to the other side, and met another guy on the road that owned the land right next to the piece the deer was on, and while we were visiting w/ him we saw the deer head out onto his ground. His son decided he wanted to shoot it so they drove down to his ground while my dad and I circled a couple of miles down and around to my godfathers land. I set up there, hoping that they would push the deer to me, and I had been set up for about 5 minutes when I heard shots. Figuring it was a dead deer, I started walking to the pickup again. About half way, I noticed the deer come over the hill and down into the draw that I was in. After he started back up the other side of the draw I let my 300 do the rest. The funny thing is that w/i 2 minutes and not more than 100 yards away, the smaller buck stopped the doe and started breeding her, somehow knowing that the bigger buck wasn't going to be able to run him off anymore!:D

Anyway, the buck green scored 131 3/8 gross (128 2/8 net) so I'll get it posted for our team.

another one of me and him in the woods... my uncle and i canoed back on this dead lake. a lot of doe beds on the side. he came in after 4 does. 55 yard shot he field dressed 183. 131 6/8

NICE DEER GUYS!!! That may put us in the lead. I shot at a doe but missed, im kinda trying to get meat in the freezer tho. I almost had a 8 point but i didnt go in quite enough pushed him about 200 yards into another golly were my uncle was and he got him. It was a nice size rack but not huge. Theres a 10 point running around and i guess im going back down friday night. So ill have ALL DAY Saturday, and if i dont get one im gona go all day sunday. So hopefully ill have one. Congrats again guys them dudes are huge.

well we have 2 deer 263 inches or so.. the leaders have 469... we need some more deer.. do what u can good luck to all.. im going to go again a few more times maybe rack another big one...

Sorry been hunting alot and finally got him, yes we can catch up, he has 12 points and scores 162 inches ill post pics in a little bit, he has 21 1/2 inch inside spread 25 1/2 inch main beams

congrats to all the team members that bagged one.. i hope to tag one, but have been on a bad spell lately...haven't seen any buck worth shooting, i keep getting spikes and small 4 ptr's , there's an 8 running around here that would make a nice score for the team , but he's nowhere to be found... he's still here cause i'm still getting pics from the trailcam , but he seems to stay nocturnal....even in the rut...

sypto, keep your head up he will show, if not shoot a big spike, if you
are seeing alot of them cull one, the points will help also

Well i shot at a big 6 point but my fault and grazed the side of a tree and it was running, our deer season for guns is over but the muzzleloader season is still coming up and if i can get my stuff for that and get my gun ready ill be able to tag one hopefully. Sorry i couldnt post one for the team, i still dont have meat yet.[:@]

I'm done rifle hunting, now just bow. Just a thought Trophy, maybe you could send an email or pm to the team members who haven't posted to remind them they are on the team. Some may have forgotten that they are doing it.

yeah i'm still hunting...matter effect i'm going again tomorrow morning...to see what i can find... i got a 4ptr but it will mean we would still be off 5pts on team 4 , we would be at 164 1/8 while team 4 would still be stuck at 169 1/8.

Maybe i get lucky and can nail a nice one for us...

got your PM ,sorry but i don't get on this site much anymore . since the last upgrade this site is unbelievably slow to load for me , i have asked the site for help or advice but they have none. so i just dont get on here very often anymore .

i did shoot the one and only buck that came by during shotgun season . have not scored it yet . i am done with gun season here at home now ,but i am trying to arrange a road trip . will get the buck scored and let you all know, dont expect much though he is small

till when does it run ?.. december 31st ?...i so , i still have 3 weeks and have every intention of hitting that big 8 ptr hanging around here....

the buck scores about 40 pts orso...not big but i will post it if it help us win ;)
