went today all day.. saw 1 smaller buck and 5 does.. i dont believe the rut is in its peak yet in indiana. next weekend will be my next weekend to shine

i'm gonna try and scout2 areas tuesday to see if the scrapes from last week are being worked on or if they are dormit.. i know there's a 120-130 class on both lands , i just need to hope he will show during the time , so far he only shows every 7-10 days and only at 2-4am in the morning, i have set out a scent dripper on both properties with a mock scrape so time will tell i guess...i didn't hang my camera's as i don't want him to associate that scrape with a light flash , he might be spooked that way and change his trail..

saw some little bucks and a fawn today.. the biggest buck i had been hunting was shot yesterday ended up scoring around 168. that would of helped us out alot..

passed up a 120-130 class 5point today (10 point for most of you), there are some monsters around and I was hoping to get one of those, I'll keep you updated as it goes on.

Youth deer gun season is this weekend. I get to take my baby out. Winchester 1300 Black Shadow 12 gauge. Me this gun and my lightfield slugs are deadly accurate hopefully ill tag one for the team.

well this weekend will be the second weekend of gun season. i passed on some little bucks between 80-100 inches. since we dont have a score yet ill prally end up killing one this weekend but it has to be 100 inches or bigger. good luck to everyone.

been hitting the woods hard with a bow ,fought the wind and rain this weekend ,but it was a great buck weekend ,saw four different bucks , samllest was probably 120 ,could not get them that last 5 yards to my bow comfort zone though ,but all would be on the board in shotgun season , first shotgun is next friday hope the buck mojo continues for this stand

well this just plain "s*cks" , no movement in the woods what so ever down here in SC , it's again way too hot , night temps are still above 50 and it's very humid at the moment , no does generally means no bucks...the weather should start getting colder in the next few day s, so who knows ..maybe we will finally see something..it's abouttime for the rut to come in down here..

another fruitless day...haven't been able to even spot one the past 10 days... it's almost surreal , it's like they are just not eating what so ever.. it has been extremely warm and insane humid... tomorrow we should make a 30 degree drop in temps... we should go from the 70's intot the 40's so maybe that will swing the deer movement around a bit...

let's hope so....

Well day one is in the books. I can't believe what i saw today. between dawn and 8 am I had over 20 does with in 50 yards. Unfortunately I can only shoot one doe. I nailed what we guess is a 4-5 year old doe that dressed at 130lb. Step father in law also took his first illinois deer with a mature doe. And a good friend who hunts on our land took a 140" in 8 point. I ll have pics of the does tomorrow. But the book is already quartered and on his way back to louisana.
