RE: Official Team #1 Thread

38 years old, have a goal to hunt all 50 States and Canada.. Have been on 4 guided hunts. Have hunted VT,ME,NH,NY,MA,PA,NC,WY,CO,AK plus Ontario & New Brunswick. I will be adding Quebec to the list this year. My best Buck is a 150 class shot in Wy in 1999. Last year I shot a 120 class 12pt in Ontario. This year I will be Deer hunting Vermont, Ontario & Quebec. Vermont is not a trophy state, even though a few good bucks are shot each year. I have shot a few 4pt's,5pt's 6pt & a 7pt last year weigh 162lb. My heaviest Vt buck is a 5pt dressed 180lb. So I will be up front, It's very hard to shoot aVermont buck that scores over 120B&C.. Now on to Quebec, I have booked a 25 square mile chuck of landfor deer hunting. Just my group will be hunting it.I scouted it in Aug, it holds a few real good bucks. This is thick woods, but hasn't been Deer hunted for a long time. So I am hope full , how everI will be hunting it only one week....Ontario has been good to me in the past, so we will see what this year will bring...... I hunt mostly with a 35 whelen pump and 7mm Remmag bolt.

RE: Official Team #1 Thread

Yeah, I am, everyone else is started up, so what about team captains and a team name, we need to vote... SOON!;)I think we need to get some alternates or have our OTHER team members CHECK IN, then we need to vote on a captain and then on a team name. I think there should be about 5 choices for names and then there should be a vote on it. Then on Captains.;)

D3ViLzIcOn 10-10-2005 11:15 PM

RE: Official Team #1 Thread

As in the rules members have until October 31st to check in before alternates will be added.

RE: Official Team #1 Thread

I'll be rifle hunting in 13 days. We get an early earn a buck 4 day rifle season at the peak of pre rut here in Wisconsin. It's going to be great i think. I say we start adding alternates now. obviously if they haven't checked in yet, they don't remember they're in the contest.

RE: Official Team #1 Thread

Not allowed to add any until the admins are ready to send some over. I already made a post as did a few other teams. Unfortunatly we have to wait.

RE: Official Team #1 Thread

thanks, i messed up scoring it, left out the H-4 measurements, but i got that fixed, hoping Jr adjusts it accordingly from 122 7/8 to 129 4/8. Looking back at my trail cam pics, i've got one picture of him. I told my dad i was going to let him walk if i saw him because i didnt think he was big enough. I guess i was wrong after i got a better look at him. he looks bigger in person than in the picture. im hoping to get a bigger one later in the season or during iowa shotgun. I'm happy with this one though, i feel he's a great contribution to the team. Good luck to the rest of you guys.

RE: Official Team #1 Thread

So apparently my gun dosen't like the same ammo as last year or my new scope is crap because I can't hold a group.[:@] No worries though, I'm just gonna have to use my old 30-06 with peep sights instead. Shouldn't hurt anything, as I never have had to shoot over 75 yards in the stand I'll be sitting in. Maybe with some luck and a bore sighter I can fix my problems saturday after noon and get my long range nail driver back in operation. Season opens Saturday and should hopefully have major inches if the buck I've been seeing stays around.

RE: Official Team #1 Thread

Nice deer Lil Mag congrats. Welcome Krub

All yours deerslayer. There was a postasking for all the team captains so I posted youas ours. I am already a captain for my bow team so if you need help let me know. My season starts next Saturday Nov19th 3 out of the last 4 years I got my buck in the first 3 days so we just might have another score very soon.

BTW we need a team name soon.
