RE: Official Team #3 Thread
Well, I got in the woods about 6:00 saturday morning and and did not see anything except a grouse. About 8:00 I seen a doe come out and i had been scouting this ares and knew there was a 4 point int here that hung out with doe. I also knew there was a nice 6 point in there. well about 5 minutes after the doe came out i seen the seven pointer come out and i knew this was probably going to be my only shot with the muzzloader, by the way this was my first with a muzzloader, so i took the shot and the deer ran about 10 yrds and dropped. It was about a 50 yard shot right in the boiler room. Rifle seson starts the 19 and i will be gone for week and the following week after that i will be gone 4 days. So hopefully I will pull out a monster. Good luck to all!

Better than my start...it has beencrazy hot down in Texas...even for this time of year. I did pass on a spike with about 12" spikes and some good mass. Lucky for him y'all got me involved in this contest. That was in East Texas. I have a few more hunts in the East before I head down to our land in South Texas. That's where I stand my best chance of taking a Bruiser. Lots of nice deer with good opportunity for taking along shot if necessary. Good luck to all...Happy Turkey Day to yourselves and your Families. Be Safe. I will check back in soon. Regards.
