RANDOM. Like every one else has said, too many states would have an upper hand. If you look at states like IL, WI, KS, and so on and so forth teams from other states just could not compete with that.

I like the idea of teaming up by state, but I also think it is not fair to some of those states. This is kind of out there but what if we come up with some kind of handicap system for those states that just don't produce the kind of bucks that others do. By the way my vote is for states

Well form the looks of i i think its random even tho im from Ohio so yeah we got some record bucks from our state.i would vote for Ohio but not that many hunters from Ohio on this site.
