LOL too funny Haz ya Smart arse. But I know that was your logo for last year so we cant use it LOL.I didnt notice that I missed the N Jen until you said something. But I have some other ideas yet to work on today. We need to get our name I have been talking to Rob and as soon as we have one I need to let him know so he can get our thread fixed with our name.I will be gone part oif this morning and this after noon I am placing 3 stands today then i can relax and just take my time fine tuning my bow like I do every year the month before bow season.I think I am switching from a whisker biscutto a drop away rest I havent decided.Kinda late in the game to do so but I am still thinking about it.

Best move you will ever make...... I shoot a Trophy Taker - awesome rest. You will be glad yo did.

Try this :
Put an arrow on the bow as you were going to shoot.
Take a small scrap of wood and cut a notch in it.
Clamp to your riser so it touches the arrow like a secondary rest
Remove old wisker rest now !
Put new rest on and adjust to hold arrow in same place (with rest in pulled up position)

It will make setup a non issue - I have done this for a friend during season with NO neg results.....

It works.....just take your time and think about how I have done it....

I usually take many measurements.Fine measurements as in mm's from every angle that i can get. This way I can get it as close as possible.I need to adjust my rest inward and my biscuit is already against my bow.So I am ither going to have to bend the frame on the biscuit r get a new rest.I have been wanting a drop away for awhile now. They are on sale at Gander Mountain right now.But driving there now is not a option.I just spent $52 filling up my ranger edge 4x4 last night.I was looking at buying a new F 150 ex cab this past week but ith gas like it is I am waiting until spring at the earliest.Besides my friend and the local bank owner told me that trucks will be the cheapest they have every been atleast in the last 10 years this coming year.So i can save prolly close to 10,000 if I wait.Well now guess who is waiting LOL?
There has been a buck taken already.it is a blacktail but someone on one of the teams has drawn first blood.I am sure I iwll have one by the end of Oct a P&Y buck for sure.So it has started.he just hasnt scored and posted it yet.But they will start coming in almost on a daily basis.I know we can win this.We have people in some great buck states and as long as we can get atleast 7 of us to score on a buck we will have a good chance at winning this.last years team won with 7 bucks and a score f 531 I believe it was.The next team had 6 bucks and lost by 41 inches. There wasnt any other very close to that.So we know what we need to do.Also the average score was like 98 inches last year.If we can hold out to get something around a 100 inches we will be in great shape for this year to WIN.I have faith in all of you.Am I getting sappy now?LOL Talk at ya later.

Hazcon,, I love the logo you made up for us,,LMAO,,, I spilled coffee on my keyboard,, Thanks! But after last year I think the logo would be best used for you and you team.. I think the deer in the logo (dog) is going to be the biggest thing you will see all season.. Thanks for the laugh,,good luck to you ...
Illinois I think as far as the captian position goes,, it's yours, everyone who has posted here belives you are the man for the job. I think it is only fitting that you are the captian of this team.
I will also be putting up a few stands today,, and putting up my stealth cam this afternoon,, and hopefully in a few days I will have some pic to post.. Like Illinois said if we can bag bucks around 100 110 I think we will have a good chance of winning this thing,, I am getting really amped up now that someone has put a buck on the board,, Well time to go put up some stands,, I will talk to you all later..

hey guys and gal,
went out today and scouted out a new stand position found a massive scrape. i am having some great traffic through several stand locations . My main stand looks like the deer have layed down a four lane highway right down the middle of the clearing. hopefully a nice buck will step out of there is right at 18 yards. also shot some from my stand today got a little more tuning to take care of and should be good to go. Also i want to try some new fletchings bought some blazers. anyone think its to late to try something new?

No I would try a cfew arrows first not all of them to make sure they are going to work for you before going and changing them all.I placed a stand and sat in it this afternoon and evening.Saw 4 deer.2 were bucks. One of them needs another year maybe 2 but the other is a shooter.I placed my stand about 100 yards from a tomatoe patch and beyond that is the apple orchard.I am in the middle of a bunch of oaks and I set up with range of 3 main trails and they all intersect about 15 yards from my stand.I got a good spot today.I will see a ton of action when the bucks start looking.
