Default Rules question??

What if I (or anyone) happens toshoot a buck in full velvet? If we're using the Pope & Young scoring system he wouldn't be eligible?

I think the decision was to just measure it and use that score.

If it has horns, it's in. Velvet or no, your first buck is to be entered.

So everything is peachy? No deductions or anything?
I know Pope & Young has a category for velvet antlers but considering their not included with the regular category I thought I'd better ask. I've seen bucks in full velvet on opening weekend here more than once.
