I hope you see some dandies. I tried to put out my Cuddeback last week but I forgot the dang password! I got it all figured out so it's going out this Friday. I didn't want to put it out earlier cuz it's going on public land. Could get stolen or deer patterns can change easily. How does it look for everyone else?

checked our digital Friday night.......had a lot of ankles!!! LMAO! so we made a few set up adjustments and put it up in a new spot. we will check it this weekend Hopefully we'll do better... lol !! The other two cameras are 35mm and had 8 on one and 6 on the other so we set them up in different locations to finish out the reel.......hope. I need to find out how to put pictures on our thread when I finally get some descent ones! They will come. In the new North American Whitetail -September- there is an article about Scotland County...page 65... That is where our farm is and there are A LOT of big deer there. I hope I am able to put one down for our team...especially before my husband does..(Tag Out....Team 11). Maybe I just won't tell him if I see any big ones...yeah right!!! I can hardly contain myself where big deer are concerned.....only 16 days to go yeeeeaaaaah

I just got my 256meg flash card for my Cuddeback. That thing should hold a lot of pictures and videos. I will put it out on Friday and it will kill me to wait a week before looking at them.[&:]

Got bad news for your team. dagger buck 2 might be grounded for this first weekend of Bow season " this weekend ". He doesn't know it yet as I type this up.He issleeping...dreaming about the big buckhe hopes to get a crack at this weekend. Well that or girls.

Seems latelyhe isn't listening to dear old dad. I keep telling him he can shoot a forky or smaller. He insists on a bigger buck and hopes to helpTeam19to victory.

I love my son but I've got to think of my team also. That wouldn't look good if he shoots a bigger buck then me. I am thinking a lesson in " life isn't fair " is what is needed for the greater good to prepare him for life. AAAAhhhhhhh... It's good to be a dad!!

Just figured I'd let you guys and gals know that SW Iowa Hunter has a real nice buck in his area.. It looks like a 150 class 10 pointer. I got him on video the other night. He and I hunt together and should have some good luck this year. I hope you all don't mind if I take the bigger of the two though. Good luck everyone.

TJF,

I would think that a father would want his son to experience more in life than himself. What a cruel world it has become when a father has such shallow, selfish thoughts as to deny his son the feeling of taking such a fine, trophy buck as we have been privelaged enough to see trail cam pictures of.

I know that I would pass on him to allow my daughter a chance if she was old enough. I just don't know what to say. I'm at a loss for words.

G2

Trail cam??? I was behind the camera when that picture got taken. We were out scouting. We don't have trail cams. Tyler was 30 yards away from me. The buck was 50 yards from me after stalking in as close as I dared. Trust me, we were both drooling and in a state of shock!!! No picturefrom a trail cam compares to that!!

finner

You can't put that guilt trip on me. My dad never hunted other then killing varmits in the yard. I said it was good to be a dad. Never said I was a good dad!!! [8D]

Seriously, I will be proud of him whether he takes a big buck or small. He makes his own calls on what he shoots and will wait for a nice one. We have a lot of fun scouting and bowhunting. I was hoping to get a responseout of him. He said he was too busy shooting bow tonight to respond. I think he is pumped up for the opener tomorrow and that is all he has on his mind. Well that is all I have on my mind too!! Had hopedmy postwould lighten things up a bit for him as I've been working late the last couple night and haven't got to talk to him much. I don't want him toput toomuch pressure on himself but to enjoy it.My dad never grounded me from hunting,Tyler knows that I wouldn't do it to him. LOL

Just checking in again. I just started a new job so havn't had as much time to get on here lately.

We got some nice bucks spotted up to 6 pope and young bucks in our area that we put stands up. We shot three nice bucks last year in this area and the biggest got away for this year. So should be a good year.

Going to put some stands out soon so will let you know what else we discover.

Alot of the deer are out of velvet here already. That seems alittle early when compared to other years.

Congrats on the new job SW Iowa Hunter! It's too bad you will be busy during the harvest, so your hunting time will be cut short. I will make sure to call you to help me drag that 180 class deer out of the timber. Good luck!
