Even if we only put one buck on the board, I promise it will be shot in the woods and not off the back porch with the spotlight ;)

Nor will it be hit with a car while trolling a national park;)

Guys,
I got the last of my stands hung today, things are looking good now...just gotta concentrate on practicing and counting the days. I also picked up my mount finally ( dropped it off in October [:'(]) but it was well worth the wait, i am very happy with the way it turned out. What have the rest of you been up to?? http://tinypic.com/dc5180.jpg -Jerry |

Finally got my food plots planted yesterday and checked my trail cameras. My digital was full of does and fawns feeding in my Lab Lab plot. I won't know whats on the 35mm one for a couple days. Hopefully a nice thick P&Y 10 pt.

Looks great Pa TM, and I hope you put another like that on the score thread this year...
Been shooting alot, tree stands are hung, waiting for the opener.... Didn't get my camera's out this year. I don't like to disturb my spots much but I don't fear the deer aren't there...there's a reason I call it my honey hole. I'm sure I won't be disappointed and besides, once the rut starts, all bets are off...and the bucks travel through it....yes, I'm excited. :) |

Nice buck Trophy Man.
I hunt public land some and and decided that I needed to buy a climber in order to move around a little more. So I purchased a Lone Wolf hand climber and after climbing several trees I'm wondering what took me so long to buy one. This isthe first climber I've ever owned and I was really surprised at how quickly and quietly it sets up. I'm sure other brands work just as well but I would definately recommend Lone Wolf. So I've been out scouting, picking out trees, and marking them on a map of the property, along with wind directions for each stand and I'm looking forward to Oct. 1st. |

Climbers can't be beat in most situations. I've had a Summit Viper for 4 years and use it all the time. I would say that I use it 75% of the time. Some places you just can't find a tree to use it in but when there is a tree you can't beat the simpleness and the comfort of a climber.

Sure did a nice job on that mount PA TM
I just got back from a VERY long drive to Duluth MN--talked to my buddy who has some stands set out. Told me that he is seeing some nice looking bucks--so if I can't find anything in OH, I may have to make another drive :D |

I like the excitement in everyone on this team, I too am excited with high hopes but hell, I just bought my license yesterday...LOL, fear not, I've been shooting and it's like riding a bike, the bow is ready, the treestands are ready, the man behind the bow is more than ready, the only thing left is to prepare the clothing, wait for the season to come in and shower before heading afield....Go team 3....but hey, I didn't fit in the name last year, for those that remember, this 3D champion missed the buck twice at 16 and 28 yards, before sending a Snyper tipped ACC through the lungs at 38yds....[&:] Fear not tho...I loved everything about that hunt even the excited clean misses....first animal I missed in more years than I can remember.:)

Talk about excited. I'm going on a bear hunt in 2 weeks, then after that I have another week till deer season. I don't know what to look forward to more!
I've been shooting like crazy--I switched fletchings this year, and I'm shooting better than ever! I've always thought about shooting 3D--but didn't want to go myself, and I don't know anyone else who bowhunts. |
