Looks like you fellas are gonna make a late run. Good work guys, and good luck the rest of the way...

Team XX is looking good right now, but I think you guys have a lot of good whitetail hunters who haven't been accounted for quite yet.

Well, I still hope to harvest a good buck but with a new addition for my wife and I it's tough to get out half as much this year. I usually live in the tree but this year it's a bit tougher to get the o.k. from my wife. I have saw a few nice deer that will be in the 140s but only small bucks have give me a oppurtunity for a shot. I am hoping here at the very latest Thanksgiving week to get a couple times. I should get a buck just how big is the question.

I hate to say it boys but the team with 700 something pretty much has this baby wrapped up. Even if our team gets 2 200 class deer we are way short.[&o]But we still can get second and with this many teams that would be one hell of a accomplishment. Nice going guys, very nice deer. Congrats to all of you who tagged one!;)

Congrats on the bucks guys, we needed them,I was worried we were going to get shutout!!!! I think were right back in this thing now, I was bored tonight so I got the caculator out. Whith what were currently down and 7 of us left, if we all shot a 71" buck we would be ahead of them by a few inches, 6 of us kill we need to average 83", 5 of us kill we need to average about 100". I dont think those numbers are to much of a long shot, we throw in 1 big boy in the 130"+ range and things could get real interesting. We all just need to kill, were at the halfway point of most of our seasons, lets keep hunting hard and see what we can do. Thats Lefty's midseason pep talk....free of charge!!!:D:D

Don't let him fool you guys, Lefty doesn't own a calculator. He used his fingers, toes, and his old ladys' finger and toes to come up with those numbers!! Redneck Abicus!!

Just kidding, Lefty!

Well, my season is pretty much over.. Hunting bucks up here in December is nearly impossible.. We already have over 15" of snow, and the big bucks just dissapear, let alone trying to get to them is just as hard as finding them. But I'll see what i can do.

Let's not throw in the towel yet fellas, there's plenty of season left. Just have to hunt harder and smarter post rut/gun through the end of the season. ;) My last year's buck was shot on December 3rd.

Like Lefty said, if the rest of you scored on a decent to small buck we could wrap this up again for repeat! Wouldn't that be sweet. No, it really doesn't matter either way, just cool being involved with you guys on this.

Tribal - how's the new family? I can't remember, what did you and your wife have? (It seems I remember something in this post, but I don't have time to go back and read this entire thread.)

My daughter is now 3 months old and doing very good. Mom went back to work and is bummed so I know the feeling of not being able to get much tree time.

Yeah BoB sounds like we are in the same boat. It's been over a week since I hunted with my bow and I can hardly stand it. Like my wife said, " How many times are you going to have a infant at home? You have the rest of your life to hunt." It did not take long to realize whats more important. So this year I will accept having less time in the woods. I can hardly complain I have 4 does down already and could have shot smaller bucks. But I have a great chance of tagging one in the next week. I will get out. My daughter is almost 4 months old and she is our last. I have a son who will be three on December 3.
The wife got fixed and so after this year IT'S ON!!!!:D I will be back to hunting 4-5 times a week! Good luck to you all!

My time in the woods has been limited as well, havnt been out since last Saturday. All my days off work were during that warm spell we had. I have this Saturday left and Thanksiving morning before gun season comes in. I have 3 archery buck tags so I'm not going to be picky anymore next buck that gives me a good shot is in trouble. I have taken 5 does with the bow so far this year but havnt had the buck I wanted come in. Time to be less picky and just put one on the board.

Well I got out a few times this week. I haven't seen anything much to shoot. Should I say no big bucks. The biggest I've seen was a 110 8 point. Tons of does everywhere. It's hard to climb a tree without getting busted. I don't think the Rut has started in Md. I've seen bucks interested in does but not going crazy over them.

I went out today and scouted a few old places and found one area with a dozen + trees 6 to 8" in diameter all tore up. I'll make it out there sometime for a hunt. I know there is a monster hold up in the blow downs.

I'mholding out for at least something in the 130 class. There's plenty of time remaining. For those who think your season is over, just go and scout other areas. Walk until it looks good and climb a tree. Team 20 looks good but it's because there each putting something on the board. It aint over until the fat lady sings and I don't hear momma warming up.;)

Good luck guys, we still have a great shot to repeat.
