I read a few studies that said the Weaver style(with steel bases and rings) was the strongest mounting system. And the system put the least amount of stress on the scope(does not bend). I however agree with Cayugad about the Warne, I think the Warne is a bit stronger, and a bit more precise. But then the Warne is Weaver style. Tom.
