I have an Outer's Varminter also. I lump it in with many of my other "good idea in theory" purchases. I think that it's intended for lighter varmint rifles (hence the name I guess). I've tried mine with my 270 and felt that it was fair, at best. I doubt that I'll use it for benchrest shooting with anything other than a 22 or 22-250.
