RE: hunting rest
To me, one of the most important factors for hunting is good arrow flight. Good arrow flight means more accuracy and no lost energy which will rob precious inches in penetration. The only way I can see to have the most consistent arrow flight from shot to shot is to minimize the contact on the arrow from shot to shot. This means a drop away rest. Right now, I use the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone, but I am seriously looking at the QAD lock down series because they stay up when you let down, they are full containment, and the do not rebound on the shot. This is ideal for consistency and good arrow flight. The WB goes against all of the principles I follow for getting good arrow flight. It not only contacts the arrow through the shot, but contacts the fletching to, which I consider to be a big no-no.
With that being said, there are a lot of deer that fall to arrows shot through the WB every year, so it can't be that bad. For me, I like the drop aways though.
