Default solving for X.....ballistics tables

I notice when I play with ballistics tables (Hornady) something which seems to lack logic. If I enter data for a bullet, say a 300 Barnes with .20 BC, and the only data changed is MV, "sight height" remains the same as does the 100 zero. That would seem to defy logic. Even changing "sight height" has no impact on results. I would expect the program to give me sight height @50 based upon the other information I've provided. Maybe someone can help me with this?
