It does shoot nice, but the gunk that gets inside the slide from the ports (and having to clean said gunk) makes me shoot it less than I should.
Since it's going to be a carry gun for you, I'll recommend some ammo.
Go with lightweight hot loaded hollowpoint bullets. Velocity will suffer from the short barrel, and then be cut down again by losses through the ports. You want that sucker to expand for sure which it might not do if it's going too slow, and 45s are slow to begin with.
Check out EFMJs.
Also, make sure you practice drawing it from concealment. Rubber grips are always a liability on a carry gun since they can stick to clothing. They can also make your shirt or coat ride up on them and reveal the gun at an inopportune time. Keep an eye on it.
