Default RE: New Pistol

Should be good.
It looks like a V-10 model with an ambi-safty and better sights added.
I've owned one for years, and it shoots real nice. Looking back, I wish I had gotten it without the ports.

The ports can throw some hot stuff in the wrong direction if you are ever shooting in tight quarters from a gun-retention position or end up wrestling for control of it. Haven't had a prob with dirt,we can't carry in IL so it doesn't see much lint.

If you ever carry a larger mag for backup, have the slide in battery when you slam the big mag home. Otherwise you can over-insert the mag and jam up the action. True of any 1911.
It's faster to drop the slide first, seat the mag, and then cycle the slide to chamber a roundthan it is to clear the jam. I tried it both ways.
Even faster to reload before you're empty.

Reload when you can, not when you have to.
