The encore is a good choice,I have the 50 and the 45,the 50 is a tack driver but the 45 you couldn't hit a bull in the ass with it.
If you will go to Pression Bullets web site you can find out alot about getting the right 45 cal.He suggests to get one with 1;28 twists for the 45,Encore is 1:20,He said T/C sent him a proto type in 1:28
I sent T/C an e-mail to see if they were going to change the twists this year but haven't received an answer. I haven't tried big heavy lead bullets in my 45 because I didn't buy it to shoot them, but I have tried many different bullets and powder loads fron 150 gr to 240 grs.
I haven't heard anyone else's opinion on the Knight's 45 disc after they changed the twist rate to 1:30 but he talks about going on a hunt and tested different rifles to take and the Knight with the 1:30 twists didn't make the cut.Maybe someone that has the Knight will post how it shoots cmopared to the 1;20 twists.I would like to know also.
