I love these guns!!! I started with a .32 Traditions Squirrely gun and had a ball shooting it. Was at the range one day and this guy had a Hawkins Carbine. I went nuts for it. He got it from Cabela's. Well didn't ya know I just had to have one.

It has a 1 in 24" twist. I got the .54 caliber model. It shoots Maxiballs and Maxihunters great. I also tried the Hornaday Greatplains and the lead Power Belts. So far it loves everything I shove down the barrel. I had it shooting inside an inch at 50 yards. Will take it back to the range when I get my hands on some more bullets.

I would like to try the R.E.A.L bullets and conicals next. Don't think trying to shoot any balls would do any good with the twist ratge as it is.

I have to say I was a little sceptical about ordering a gun from a catelog, but she is a beauty for sure. I am more then satisfied. Can't wait till next big game season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
