Default Shot the new rifle today

I finally got to shoot the new .45 i just finished. I loaded up with 40 grains RS, .440 PRB and started at 17 yards. After the first shot, i moved it back to 50 yards. The very first shot @ 17 yards was a bullseye. At 50 yards it was shooting about 5" high and 3" to the right. Adjusted my sights over to the left and got it right on @ 50 yards. Shot 1" groups @ 50 yards with 50 grains RS. 40 grains @ 50 yards shot 2" low so i upped it some. i'll have to buy a new stainless steel nipple, the one i put on is egged out and the first trigger pull seats it while the second fall sets the rifle off. Its really a sweet little shooter and balances really nice. Best thing i enjoyed was the .22cal kick it has with that load. Double set triggers worked perfectly and maybe a 2 1/2lb pull. just got done cleaning it so its getting another coat of boiled linseed oil and heading outside to let the sun bake it. Will have some pics later on of the finished rifle. It looks like i'll have to do a little touch up of the cheek piece, i felt a small quarter size area that was a little rough. Best thing about the boiled linseed oil is if a nick ever shows up, its easily repairable.
