Default RE: South Florida pics

I wish I could get a clearer shot on a still. Theres always just a bit of blur in any pic I pull from a dv tape. My cohort Steve picked up a new Cannon eos so hopefully when we get back to the woods we can be grabbing some real crisp stills to go along with the video I am shooting.
I blundered big time on this video. The mich cord had a twist in it and I didnt get the plug seated all the way in when setting up in the dark . No audio!!!!! These birds gobbled 50 times in our faces too. LOL Tell ya it was just a run of mishaps and bad luck down there in FLA. Makes a guy say the heck with them turkeys, but these pics leave me second guessing. That Osceola showed me a new side of him this year.
Those native habitat cypress head birds are tough as any I have played with. Well short of a Tennessee mountain turkey. They left me with a need to return and re do my own Osceola hunt. While these orange grove toms are easy to see and pure t turkey, hunting them in natural Florida habitat was very cool. As well with the 2.5 foot high grass, flat land, and numerous cypress roosting areas, he was a tough customer. Plenty of grass to spot you from, plenty of roosts to swap up on, and bushes everywhere that hid turkeys like a blanket.
Heres a couple more pics. Hope y'all enjoy em, despite the fuzz.

Shoot HIM!
