You must ship to an FFL. I request a copy of their license in advance. I do not know if you have to have it or not, but I still request it. I also always ship the pistol requiring a signature at the other end. I think this is a safety net for me. You can use an FFL on your end, but it is not necessary. USPS says they will not ship. I have had them ship a few. I took the pistol to post office for shipping. When they refused to ship the pistol, I told them I wanted them to put the denial in writing. They would not put it in writing, and then they shipped it. They did not want to, but they did it. We need to stand up to these people. It is a bunch of BS that UPS makes you ship over night. Their original excusewas that too many pistols were being stolen by their own employees. Now that is a bunch of crap.
When I buy firearms off the net, I have them shipped to a local dealer. He accepts a faxed FFL. Tom.
