Well I spined a doe this year at 22 yards, she jumped the string and I hit the end of her shoulderblade and deflected up into her spine, it shattered the vertabrae, but didn't go through. I was shooting a 20 year old black bear with 65 pounds draw weight and 100 grain spitfires, they did a great job, opened all the way up one blade cut all the way through the shoulder blade before the tip shattered the spine.
