Default RE: Broadheads once again...

I used a "powder puff setup" this year. I had a modest 58# bow, very light carbon arrows, and 90 grain muzzy 4 bladed broadheads.

It blasted through a 110 pound doe at 40+ yards and burried it's self into the graound on the other side. It put a HOLE in that deer! About the size of a quarter or nickle. The deer bled compleatly out before it died 80 yards from my stand. I used to only use thunderheads but I wasn't getting the bloodtrails that I wanted. They seem to fly better than the thunderheads.

My dad uses the same muzzy's I do. He's shot 2 deer in not so great places and found them all bled out and all. He made a texas heart shot one one doe and it died 40 yards away with a 3 foot wide bloodtrail. The muzzy's are my new #1 choice. 4 blades make a big hole, and they penetrate great because they are not so wide. I would use the 100 or 90 grain tips because the 125s are wider and won't penetrate as well with some setups.
