I'm still learning the ins and outs of my Cuddeback and haven't had it out in the field during bitter cold (around these parts, bitter cold is maybe 20 deg. and below). My Cuddeback book does give this tip: "BATTERIES FAIL SOONER IN COLD TEMP. WHEN TEMPS. ARE BELOW 30 DEG. F, YOU MAY WANT TO CHANGE BATTERIES WHEN THE BATTERY LEVEL IS 2". I can find no other mention of cold temp. operation. I have seen many quality pics on here with lots of that white stuff around..... Ray
