Otis, If you compare a 350 and 338-06 useing a the same weight bullet I think that you will find the 338-06 has better down range ballistics. I use the 210gr partition because that bullet works for me. I also use a 200gr Bt on deer. One other point that favors either a 338-06 or 35 Whelan is that cases are easy to make by necking up a 30-06. Will Remington really support the 350 this time? 350 cases are more difficult to make. The 350 is a good cartridge and I've considered buying one but haven't done so yet. However, there are alot of things that need to be considered with any round that is not very popular. If you're looking for real magnum performance in either 338 or 358 caliber then look to the 338WM, 340 WBY or 358 Norma.
