So a brand new gun won't work unless I clean it? and that is normal. That seems odd to me.
It shouldn't seem odd to you. Ever purchased a brand new bow and had to adjust the timing/synch right out of the box??? No different on guns. They soak most of them in a light oil to keep corrosion off in those styrophoam boxes. It needs to be removed ESPECIALLY on auto loaders!

And if you want to say I am upset over one round type. Yep, sure am, if you cannot fire a standard 3.5" Federal Mag Turkey load then that speaks terrible about the gun. I would understand if I was trying to put through a very light 3" load, but even then it should still work.
There are plenty of shotguns that don't like a certain load. And even more rifles! Again, I'll compare it to bows....ever shot an arrow that is over/under spined or too back heavy? Same with firearms...things have to be in balance. I have two choke tubes for my main turkey gun and they shoot to a much different point of impact, even with the same load. Who knows why...but they do. Balance...balance.
