Default RE: More Shooting in the Rock Pit...

yeoman

Those 460 leads must really pack a whallop at those velocities. How's your shoulder after all those shots?
Actually this Renegade stock is much more pleasant to than the Hawkin stock. I really do not notice the recoil that much so it doesn't seem to bother, but a day or two after shooting that Stainless Hawken I had one heck of beauty bruise on my shoulder.... It even effected my trap shooting on Sunday - anyway something did - my scores were terrible...

Also, how did you get the shot numbers to show on the target you posted? That's very helpful in understanding what you were doing.
If you look at may range log you can see I tried to plot the shots on the log as I shot them - then I scanned the target and transferred thenumbers to the target when I got home. I was pushing my plotting capabilities with that many shotsand plotting on to small of scale. Actually if I had not plotted on the range book I could have made some real interesting group arrangements.

Now, a final request ............. after your shooting "match" today, simply post a picture of whichever truck is clean and shiny, we'll know the rest of the story.
Cdad & Matt will not get here until Friday afternoon and he does want to shoot some if wecan but he wants to shoot some of his loads across my chrono - so we will have to see how much time we have, but with his sin there who is much younger than us, he will have to be factored into theshooting and he isn't bad...

We, Terry and I,are headed toLewiston I need to stop in Black Sheep and hopefully they will have some fiber optic sights for this Renegade - but I an not going to change them til next week, but I think I will take my 1/28 Hawken to the pit anyway it is really a good shooter. I would take my White and go one on one with his White, but I shoot 10mm 200 grain sabots from it and somehow that would not be fair against the lead sinkers he shoots + the fact themy White is scoped and his is peep sights...

The Birds... They were leaning on rock bits - I did not put them up against the wall for that very reason - I knew somebody would say that I was just hitting around them and the weight and force of those lead sinkers were causing them to fall over - that is why I took the close up pic - so you could see the bits.... I gonna get a video and rig it up some how just to show you guys...

Now that you got me talking about shooting - I do not want to go to Lewiston anymore - but alas i must rest these aged eyes for the important duty they will have on Friday, also just so everyone knows Cdad is my guest so I will have to be diplomatic and not embarass him...
