Default RE: yardage judgement

well all good posts i just wanted to say that this weekend i was practicing some fun spot and stalk on a turkey decoy and i would come in from about 100 yds or so and when the wind would blow the decoy the opposite direction of me i would practice stalking up on it and then i would put my self in a position where i had to shoot in the 30-40 yd range...draw back on him when he wasnt lookin and then when the wind turned him broadside i would release the arrow i think i was about 3 for 5 on the target no really damage to my decoy cuz i have light poundage and i was using one of those varmint stoppers, but all in all good practice very good ways to learn whats the best way to stalk and judge the distance...p.s i only did this cuz i had old arrows that i would use to shoot at rabbits and stuff
