shot the big three today
Snuck by on my way home....shot the vectrix and the drenalin and the guardian. Did not end the way I thought it would. I am totally biased to bowtech, just for the record. I am fairly strong person also....
The guardian is quiet, no question. But it has a wicked draw. Starts smooth, but ends tough. Gave me an impression of a tractor pull (redneck reference, sorry). I absolutely could not pull 70 lbs smoothly, like a deer was 15 yards out and suspiscious, couldn't do it. Had to push up and out. After looking at it, also it has alot of moving parts. I had an older bow that the e clips would come off of. This guy has 16 e clips...bad math.
The Drenalin was a hard pull all the way around. Smooth cycle, but verydifficult and not as solidof a backwall, either. Not as quiet as the Guardian, but smoother. Felt light in the hand, also. Quality bow, butdid not flip my skirt, sorry. Theshop owner said he had aseveral come back for warranty work(that probably influenced my decision, too).
The Vectrix, despite my preformed opinions, shot very well. Light, balanced, quiet. OK, sorry, I despised Hoyt. Overpriced, ugly, bad camo patterns, icckk. I was happy not liking Hoyt.
It was fast, and pleasant to shoot. 70 lbs felt like 60.Solid, butter smooth, and forgiving ( had 1"groups at 20 yards on the shop bow in 6 arrows). The vulcan even snuck in second behind the vectrix, it was faster, but not as quiet. I will not sleep well tonight.......
