Yesterday turned out to be a pretty decent day so my dad and I spent the better part of it scouting for new land. We obtained permits to hunt some paper company land that borders the private property we already have permission to hunt. I'm not sure how many acres this actually adds to what we already hunt, but according to their map its a pretty big chunk.
After I got home the friend I've been working with getting into archery was here waiting. We went over to his house and I worked with him for a couple hours getting his 20 and 30 yard pins set. After a while we had him hitting a softball size group at 30 yards consistanly. Not too bad for someone who just started shooting.
We also figured out we can get a good 25 yard shot from his roof, so we spent a bit of time up there shooting too.
We drove by a half dozen groups like this, not a single horn on any head;
