well, picked up a Savage 24 s today at a local gun show 20ga./ 22 mag. the warning on the barrel says not to use the shotgun barrel with scope attached. is there an after market scope mount that would eliminate the groved mount on the 22 barrel ? if not are there any fiber optic sights that are adaptable to the model 24 ? the trigger pull is horendeous ( 7-8 lbs) is this best handeled by a gunsmith ? also has anyone gone to the expence of haveing the barrel fitted for screw in chokes ? i wasnt too shure that i was going to end up with a combo gun ,because of weight and balance. this thing is 6.5lbs and points like an english double barrel !!!
