It is more than obvious that the USA needs and wants to know who is entering your country. Why should Canada be any different. Just schrole down to the Politics section and see how many Americans complain about Mexican criminals etc entering the USA.

I aggree that your charge is not too serious, but dumping on Canada for protecting its citizens will get you no where. If guys like handloader1 had a change of additude it would go a long way to resolving your problem.
