Round here we call em chiggers. And I agree those things are a terror but thankfully I've never got any during turkey season. I'm assuming they're not out then.
Down here Chiggers and Ticks are two different things.
Chiggers you get when you wipe your butt with Spanish Moss.
Ticks you pick up when walking and laying in the Grasses.
Then of course we have the No-See-Ums....[:'(]
I was referring to what swampcollie called red bugs. Was he talking about ticks? BTW rebel hog, are the chiggers out during turkey season in Florida?
Some good information here... I never knew that the thermacell wouldn't repel ticks. I'm glad I didn't get one last year. I went with the bug band and was happy with it and will probably use it this year.
