shuddup Cdad, I was shooting muzzleloaders when you were in diapers.
It's 71 degrees outside. 35 mph winds though.
RW was impressed by the rifle but his input was only a smallpart of what I think about the rifle. There arefive things I DON'T like about it from the get-go: the flimsy Knight arrow-shaft ramrod with pressed insert (JUNK), the lack of a 2nd thimble, the styling of the pistol grip (might be better than it looks), the non-adjustable trigger (which may be just fine as is),and the safety that protrudes above the hammer (WHY?). I've contacted Knight and told them to change 3 of those items (I'm sure they'll listen

).
The stock looks more likeit would handle the recoil of heavy conicals (compared to Encore) and Knight uses stocks that are generally better than much of their competition, the barrels surely will shoot conicals very well as Knight has yet to fall into the QLA trap and they use good barrels, the action looks well-made and of substance, the rifle will apparently NOT use the disc system (a plus in my book), takedown looks very simple, and the overall lines of the rifle are good (with noted exceptions). The barrel interchange means nothing to me at this point but might in the future. If the rifle points and balances well, Knight could very well have a hit. Besides, the White Alpha seems to be stuck in pipe dream land.
