Thanks for the advice on the moleskin, nylon washers & faucet gaskets (replied here and by email). I'll check on all three and see what might fit the best.
Since I hunt from the ground only the tree stand idea is out. That's why the wobbly quiver was such a big problem to begin with. If the other ideas don't work then I will look into a quiver I can carry over my shoulder.
Fortunately I have enough arrows (for now) that I can set aside the dented one for practice use only.
