RE: Opinions wanted on Savage 111 Series
My 111 in 30-06 shoots clover leafs at 150 yards using a swift 6x18 varmint scope set to 10 power and shooting 150 grain ballistic tip handloaded and remington 150 grain cor-lot. In the past have owned over twenty savages in many calibers, all shot very accurate an old model 110 from the 50's or 60's was one of the best.
Be careful to braek new guns in slowly, don't over heat the barrel, clean often, try different grain weights and bullet types. There are no ugly savages just people who think a pretty gun is a shooter, not true!
