Default RE: New Xbow

Since I "blew" a Quad 400 up, good move, imho. I'm selling my Phoenix and Emax. I want that thumbhole stock on the Vortex, can't get one for the Phoenix or I'd keep it, as they are real sweet bows. I don't care for the "Right Stuff" package, as I've found better performance in a slightly heavier arrow [431 gr vs 360 gr] and I like the Slick Tricks better than what comes w/ package.

Like Jason posted on another thread, I get tired typing the same-o-same-o like you guys do of reading it, lol. But, seems there is always someone to share info w/. So, you can convert any model of Excal to the next lower one by using heavier arrows and a dacron string vs Flemish Fast Flight. A 305 fps Phoenix becomes a Vixen, Exocet [Vortex] becomes a Phoenix ect ect. All of this is fps wise, you still have the poundage differences. By using 431 gr arrows and FFF strings, I get 290 from Phoenix and 328 fps from Emax, both of which are far more than I need for deer. My best advice ever given to someone thinking Excal is to talk to Danny Miller the USA warranty rep regardless of where you end up buying one.
