SSTEURY, I think a good engineer with some composite materials could easily build a climber stand at around 8lbs or less. Of course it would cost an arm and a leg. So until NASA, Boeing or Lockheed start building treestands, I think the Timbertall baby lite is about as light as you'll find for a climber stand (11bs). You'll pay through the nose for it though. I hope someone does build a comfortable stand that light someday.
