I didnt know the sit & climb was only a pound heavier than the hand climber. I just went off the specs from the Lone Wolf web site (they show the sit & climb as 19lbs). Wish I had known that before, I probably would have gone for that version.
I didnt mean to make it sound like I was a big proponent of "V" bars, quite the opposite actually. I wanted to be as honest in the report as I could and bring up all things, good or bad like the "slips" when climbing or descending. I was talking about that little adjustment the stand sometimes makes seating itself to the tree as you put your weight on it (1 or 2 inches nothing alarming). Every climbing stand I've ever used has done this now and then including the Lone Wolf. Probably my poor technique.
Thanks for the good words. I need another stand, let me know if you see a sit & climb for sale.
