I have a ruger m77 in .300 wm and a 30-30 marlin and several other guns and have shot the .300 for aboout 4 years and have ( in my opinion a good bit of experiance) the reason I was asking for everyones advice is that Im about to buy a thompson pro hunter and my buddy is telling me that a .308 is better than my .300 and I just wanted someone elses opinion!
