Well so far I have cast some .490 round ball, some 45.1 round ball, and tonight I cast some .429 240gr 44 mag bullets and some .30 cal 170gr bullets for the kids 30-30. I dont plan on hunting with these yet, but they will be fun for plinking and playing around with. Once I get it down to where I have the tin levels right and the overall hang of it I might try taking a deer with them. Whatcha guys think?
OF COURSE I hunt with my own cast bullets and round balls! I use a .500" ball in my .50 ML for deer, and maxiBalls for larger game. I also use cast bullets in .45/70, .416 Rigby, and .357, .44 mag., .45 Colt, and .454 Casull....... Good cast bullets can be very accurate.....
