RE: .358 Winchester Rds
I also shoot a fair amount of the 358. Ive got a BLR and a ruger M77 and will have a custom Ruger in 358 when the builder get done with it later this spring.
As for Brass its a seasonal run from winchester. Check midsouth, grafs, or midwayusa. If they don't have any there is always some on Ebay. Most of my brass I make from necking up 308 win brass. I use my standard 358 dies and a 338 expander ball I got from RCBS. I do it in two steps 308->338->358. one saturday I made 450 cases. That will probably keep me supplied for years.
As for bullets. For cheap I like the hornady 200 sp. Remington also makes a 200 pointed soft point CL thats cheap and should be great for deer.
I do most of my 358 hunting these days with 200 TSXs and next year I will be using 200 North forks.
Once you get to the 225 g size everybody makes a good 358 bullet. I find in my BLR recoil is proportional to bullet weight hense my use of the 200 grainers. Of course I am talking deer. If I were going for elk or moose Id use a 225. The one elk I shot with my 358 I shot with Hornady 250 RN and they worked great.
Love those 358s
