Default RE: Controlling the "Big Buck" Anxiety

Normally the second i see a deer, whether its a doe or a buck, my heart starts thumping. Once i can tell what it is, i calm down. If i know im going to pass on the animal, i am normally as calm as can be. Some times for practice, ill go through the motions, setting the pin on the animal and all that, but not too often. If its a buck that i am going to shoot, once i determine that im going to try to put him down, if i have time, i will look away for a couple of seconds or shut my eyes for a few seconds. I dont know why it helps me, but it calms me down. From that point on, i am normally as cool as the other side of the pillow, but the second i let that arrow go, i can hardly hold on to my bow and stand up. MAN WHAT A FEELING!
