childers...thats awesome..i never fished a bamboo rod..i know they are pricey and supposed to make great fly rods...one day ill get there....still tryin to learn the ropes of fly fishing...my WOODEN walmart special 40$ rod, reel, line and fly pfluger kit really holds me back...thats why i aint good at it i picked up decint line that REALLY made a diffrence...so my goal is to make me a nice fly rod...probably a 8ft 4 or 5 wt. biggest trout ill encounter will be a 2 footer if im LUCKY. that would be a hawg. most of them are 8-14inches..then ill build me a good spinning rod...i cant wait to get into building rods...dont think itll be soon..i wanna do it right and get geared up properly...i know once i start im in for a long haul...might as well buy the right tools now and do it right
