RE: favorite powder for all you reloaders
I'm truly surprised at the number of IMR powders being mentioned. I fully know that they are good products but absolutely no one mentioned 4831 from either IMR or Hodgdon.
I've almost totally switched to Hodgdons because IMR don't make a ball powder and their reloading data is often lacking.
I load four gages of shotshell, three handgun loads and rifles from .223 to .375 H&H......one powder just don't cut it!!!
I buy three powders in bulk. BLC-2 for the .223, H414 for the .22-250, .220S, .243, .257 Roberts, and H-4831-SC for the bigger stuff.
If I had to live with just one powder.....it'd be a heck of a fight, but H-414 would probably win
