Default Season winding down.....

Well fellas my bow season is winding down(ending Dec. 31st). I went out last Friday and I had a really nice doe come out to a bean field that I'm hunting on at 15 yards. I thought sweet, this is going to be easy. Normally at anything under 20 yards, that's a money shot for me. So I draw, she didn't even know I was there. I let my arrow go, she ran about 40 yards, stopped, blew a couple times, stayed there for a couple of minutes and then just walked away. I thought that she would fall over at anytime. When I couldn't see her anymore, I slowly got down and started looking for my arrow. Expecting to see it full of blood....I found it sticking into a tree without a spec of blood or hair. Right then and there I just started laughing. How in the heck did I miss? LOL I shot right over her. I guess I didn't take enough time to aim and probably used my 30 yard pin. I thought it was pretty dang comical. Now the tree will have a permenant ornament!! My 100 grain Rocket Steelhead was buried so far into the tree, all I could do was unscrew my arrow and call it a season. It was my last time out for the year, but atleast I was able to draw and shoot. Went out ice fishing yesterday and caught my limits of sunfish and crappies in two hours. Guess what I'm going to be doing until the end of March?? For the season...I shot one doe with the bow and three with the gun and had a 150-160 class buck 18 yards from my stand, but just never came in for a shot. Good season overall. Good luck to everyone!!!
