I have two Savage 24s. One in .222 over 20 ga and one is 30/30 over 20 ga.

I have shot and seen shot three coyotes with BBs from the 20 and all ran off. One I switched to the .222 and nailed him before he got away.

I now have some 20 ga AAAA #3 buck that I think shoud put a coyote down at close range.

When calling "dogs" in bushy areas sometimes the shooting is real close. I normally call with a partner who sits 40 or 60 yards down wind of the caller and gets most of the shooting at coyotes circling to scent the situation.
