I wouldn't use it myself,but to each their own.A snubby isn't designed for any distance.Maybe if the animal was right next to you (which is doubtful) it might work.You owe it to the animal to make the most Humane Kill possible.I would keep a 41 mag as a minumum caliber and a minumum of 6" barrel.I would check your states regs.I'm sure there is a minumum barrel length.Even for Tree Rats or Rabbits you need a longer barrel unless they are sitting on your lap.
