If handguns trip your trigger, a .22 revolver or semiauto works great on small game and with a lot more thrift...hey it's your gun and money.....Have a ball with it!!

However, I personally consider Remington's .41 Magnum a minumum caliber for deer sized animals. I've used the .357 Mag with horribly dismal results...I suspect it's legal in most states where handguns are permitted for hunting big game!
